On April 26, 2025, all 51 employees of VOPLLS set sail toward Xunliao Bay, a coastal resort in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, for a two-day, one-night team-building and outdoor expansion event. From planning to execution, We had one clear goal: to bring both new and long-time colleagues together under the banner of our core values – Professionalism, Innovation, Collaboration, and Win-Win.
At 2 PM, we boarded chartered buses brimming with excitement. After a scenic two-hour drive, we arrived at our destination at 4 PM and immediately transferred to speedboats for an exhilarating sea ride. The salty breeze whipped against our faces, and the rhythmic crash of waves set the perfect tone for unwinding from our everyday work lives. Later, we returned to the beach for a self-serve barbecue, karaoke sessions, and a bonfire party. Under the darkening sky, laughter and music blended with the crackling fire. By 10 PM, glowing with excitement and a bit of sand in our shoes, We dragged our tired bodies back to the hotel and ended the first day's activities in our sleep.
The following morning, after a hearty breakfast, we made our way to a specially arranged outdoor training camp. A seasoned coach led us through a series of icebreakers and mind-challenging exercises designed to foster trust and team spirit. Our first exercise, the “Unified Drum,”51 people were divided into four groups. The 12-member team I was in made 7 consecutive mistakes. Some people tilted the drum head due to excessive force, and some people missed the opportunity to hit the ball due to hesitation. But when the members spontaneously formed a "2-4-6 division of labor" (2 people shaking, 4 people stabilizing the rhythm, and 6 people observing and adjusting the direction), they finally completed the record of 33 times of the ball hitting the drum head and achieved the goal. This confirmed the core cognition of Voplls - everyone's potential is unlimited.Next came the “Passion Rhythm” challenge: we had just 20 seconds to complete a complex series of beats. Starting at 39 seconds on our first attempt, we refined our approach through seven attempts, finally meeting the 20-second target. The elation of success underscored how professional teamwork can turn any daunting task into an achievable goal.
Lunch had us laughing over shared stories and sweaty high-fives as we recounted our collaborative victories. Refreshed, we headed out at 2 PM for the adrenaline rush of off-road buggies. Paired up, each duo navigated rugged mountain trails with full protective gear. One particularly memorable moment involved a spirited colleague who, in his eagerness, flipped his buggy into a roadside ditch within the first 200 meters. Covered in mud but grinning ear to ear, he hopped into a replacement vehicle, only to careen into a small tree and snap off a branch on his second run. As he was the first to set off but the last to return, his misadventure became a lesson in the importance of measured boldness and calm problem-solving in both work and play.
Our final activity was a tranquil sailboat excursion. Boarding the vessel, we exchanged the roar of engines for the gentle sway of the sea. The serene horizon reminded us that while rapid progress has its place, there is equal value in quiet reflection – a testament to our culture of Innovation and balanced progress.
After completing the off-road buggy experience, we took a coach back to the seaside, boarded a sailboat, and enjoyed a tranquil cruise on the open water. A gentle breeze brushed our faces, the sail swayed softly, and the sea lay calm and vast, clearing our minds. Accompanied by the soothing sound of the waves, we looked ahead together: may VOPLLS, like this sailboat, ride the winds and waves, sail smoothly, and achieve new brilliance in 2025.
This journey turned new and veteran colleagues from strangers into enthusiastic teammates, experiencing both challenges and joy together, and truly embodying our core values of “Professionalism, Innovation, Collaboration, and Win-Win.” Professionalism means taking every detail seriously; Innovation means daring to step out of our comfort zones and try new things; Collaboration means each of us putting the team’s interests first; Win-Win means that everyone’s smile at the end was worth more than anything. We thank Boss Steven and Boss John for providing us with such a valuable opportunity, and every colleague for their enthusiastic participation. With our gains and insights in hand, we return to our roles, integrating team spirit and innovative thinking into our daily work, ready to embrace an even more brilliant tomorrow.
